Technified Shield
Technified Shield is a child safety service that protects your Roblox games from condo users. Condo games are a serious risk to younger players on Roblox, and Shield exists to keep the people who frequent those games out of yours. It works as a shared, centrally maintained block list of players who have been identified as active in Roblox condo servers, and every Shield-enabled game can opt into it.
What Shield Protects Against
Shield is built for one thing: keeping condo players out of your experiences so your community, especially its younger members, stays safe. Once a user is flagged in the Shield database as a known condo participant, every Shield-enabled server kicks them the moment they try to join.
Shield does not target scammers, exploiters, or general rule-breakers. Those are handled by your own per-guild bans and moderation tools. Shield exists specifically so that condo players, who hop between dozens of games, can be blocked everywhere at once.
Because the list is shared across all Technified servers, a single flag protects every participating game. You don't need to track condo players yourself or maintain your own list.
How It Works
When Shield Sync is enabled in the Technified Adonis plugin:
- A player joins one of your Roblox games.
- The plugin asks the Technified API whether the player's Roblox ID is on the Shield list.
- If the player is flagged, the plugin kicks them immediately with the Shield reason.
- If the player is not flagged, the join proceeds normally.
Shield checks run alongside your existing ban and mute sync. They do not replace per-guild bans. A player can still be banned from your server without being on Shield, and vice versa.
Who Manages the List
Shield is maintained exclusively by Technified administrators. Regular server owners cannot add, remove, or modify Shield entries. You opt into the list and benefit from it, but the flagging itself is handled centrally so the data stays consistent across every server that uses it.
Shield vs Per-Guild Bans
| Shield | Per-Guild Bans |
|---|---|
| Global. Affects every Shield-enabled server | Only affects your server |
| Managed by Technified administrators | Managed by you |
| Opt-in via the Adonis plugin's Shield Sync toggle | Always active if ban sync is on |
| Condo players only | Any rule violations in your community |
What Players See
When a Shield-flagged player tries to join a Shield-enabled game, they are kicked with a message that includes the flag reason and a note that the flag comes from Technified Shield.
Shield Flag Logging
Since version 8.3, every Shield kick can be mirrored to your Discord log channel. The log entry includes the Roblox ID, username, and the reason the user was flagged — so your moderators can see exactly who was blocked at the door.
To turn it on:
- Open Settings → Logging in the dashboard
- Expand the Other section
- Enable Shield Flag Kick
Make sure you have a primary log channel configured under General Settings, otherwise there is nowhere for the entry to go.
Enabling Shield for Your Games
Shield is off by default. To opt in, enable Shield Sync in the Technified Installer plugin's Settings step, or set SYNC_SHIELD = true in your Server-Technified.luau config and restart the server. No other setup is required. The list is fetched from Technified automatically.
Why Shield Exists
Roblox's younger audience makes child safety a priority for any community that wants to be a welcoming place. Condo games are one of the clearest threats to that safety, and the people who participate in them rarely stay in one experience. Shield gives every Technified-connected server the benefit of a shared block list: once a condo user is flagged centrally, every Shield-enabled game kicks them on sight. It's free, targeted protection with zero maintenance from server owners.
